Perry is an Arsenal Legend whose professional playing career began in 1982 at Colchester United where he played 142 league games and scored 26 goals. From there he became George Graham’s first signing at Arsenal where he went on to become a fan's favourite. Noted for his hard work, enthusiasm and the incredible run that set up the winning goal in the 1987 League Cup.

Perry was part of Arsenal’s title winning 1988-89 campaign and was in the side that clinched the title with the last kick of the season at Anfield, the most dramatic climax to any season of football. He helped the club to another title in 1990-91 before moving to Southampton.

Known for his straight talking, Perry has earned cult status and his autobiography ‘We All Live in a Perry Groves World’ famously outsold Ashley Cole’s and many other big name player’s books after a campaign supported by thousands of fans.
