David Croft

David is the acclaimed commentator and presenter for Sky Sports F1 HD channel.

He is widely regarded as an outstanding commentating talent famed for the passion and enthusiasm that he brings to every event he covers. 2013 marks Crofty’s 8th season behind the mic. Prior to 2012 David was the F1 correspondent and commentator for BBC 5 Live for 6 years.

Away from F1, Crofty is also well known for his commentary at the legendary World Masters Darts at the Lakeside. He is also a respected boxing commentator having covered some major fights including Joe Calzaghe’s final fight against Roy Jones Jnr at Madison Square Garden.
He has appeared in the Codemasters F1 game, "The Race" for Sky One and the Red Bull Track Attack for ITV. David’s commentary skills have also featured in the World Freerun Championships held in Trafalgar Square. He also features in Disney’s new Planes movie.

Prior to 2006 Crofty reported on various sports for BBC Radio 5live, including the 2002 World Cup and 2004 Olympic Games. He also presented Sport on 5, commentated on Superbowl XLI and hosted numerous boxing specials.
